A two way journey" through a dual-purpose approach aims to ensure the sustainable socio-economic integration of Ukrainian refugees seeking shelter in Ankara-Turkiye. In other words, the project aims to create an environment conducive to the autonomy and active participation of Ukrainian refugees in the local community. In concrete terms, through the dual- purpose approach and, consequently, through the activities designed, it seeks to contribute to community unity, the development of a spirit of solidarity and cultural enrichment

Objectives

• Alert and support Ukrainian refugees, particularly women and minors, to overcome socio-economic barriers through tailored empowerment programmes;
• Relieve the burden of responsibilities on adult refugee women by providing educational and childcare support for their children;
• Promote mental health and well-being through activities that address war trauma and emotional resilience;
• Facilitate access to the labour market by improving language skills and offering employability-focused training sessions
• Create sustainable education pathways for refugee minors to ensure quality, continuous learning;
• Inform the refugee community about their rights, services available to them, and integration opportunities;
• Encourage greater participation of Ukrainian refugees in the local community to foster social cohesion and cultural enrichment;
• Offer positive and transformative volunteering experiences to young people with fewer opportunities across Europe;
• Strengthen and expand local, national, and international networks through events and cooperation initiatives aimed at long-term impact.
